Operations/Execution Analyst – Fixed Term Contract

A successful trading team is looking for a Operations/Execution analyst to join their team on an initial contract basis.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily trade execution across multiple asset classes, with a particular focus on delta one products (e.g. equity swaps, index futures, ETFs and baskets), ensuring timely and accurate booking of trades.
  • Monitor orders, fills, and position records in delta one and related products, resolving discrepancies and escalating issues to traders as needed.
  • Produce and verify P&L, risk, and exposure reports for delta one books, highlighting anomalies or operational risks to the trading team.
  • Use programming and analytical tools to reconcile data, build simple tools, and enhance trading/operations efficiency for delta one strategies.
  • Track market events, corporate actions, and index/ETF changes that may affect delta one positions, ensuring accurate reflection in systems.

Background

  • Degree in: finance, economics, maths, physics, engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Strong interest in business and markets and economics
  • Prior internship/grad scheme experience beneficial
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in mathematics
  • Proficiency in software programming
  • Familiarity with financial markets, derivatives, and options (a plus but not required)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
