Full Job Description
Operations and Middle Office is one of the largest departments at Millennium. The Middle Office group comprises three interconnected functions across the post-trade lifecycle: Trade Support, Valuations, and Product Control / Business Unit Control. Within Product Control / Business Unit Control, the primary responsibilities are P&L reporting and the Independent Price Verification (IPV) process. Middle Office supports a broad range of products traded across the firm, from listed equities to complex derivative products.
We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented professional to join Product Control / Business Unit Control, with a primary focus on the daily firmwide IPV process for Equity Derivatives. The ideal candidate will have experience with Equity Autocallables; however, given the specialist nature of the product, we are also keen to consider candidates with broader Exotic Equity Derivatives experience.
Principal Responsibilities
Perform daily Independent Price Verification (IPV) for Equity Derivatives by comparing internal valuations against external and third-party marks, investigating discrepancies, and resolving valuation breaks.
Partner with valuation specialists, trade support, front office, and external pricing vendors to maintain a robust valuation control framework and accurate reporting.
Support P&L reporting, including analysis and explanation of valuation and P&L movements, with a focus on derivatives and Greek-based attribution.
Support year-end audit activities and serve as a key contact for external auditors on valuation-related matters.
Drive process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency, control, and scalability of the IPV and P&L reporting framework.
Qualifications / Skills
6+ years of relevant experience in Equity Derivatives Product Control.
Strong experience with Equity Derivatives, ideally Equity Autocallables; candidates with broader Exotic Equity Derivatives experience are also encouraged to apply.
Strong understanding of derivatives Greeks, P&L attribution, and IPV / valuation control processes.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and constantly evolving environment.
Proven ability to interact confidently with traders, valuation teams, and senior management.
Strong attention to detail, ownership, and control mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience with automation and process improvement, including the ability to leverage AI tools to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Strong Excel skills and knowledge of Bloomberg.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individuals experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
