HR Business Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking an HR Business Manager to join our Human Resources team, reporting to the Global COO of HR. This role focuses on supporting department business management activities, including budgeting, headcount planning, and support in coordinating HR Services’ portfolio of work.


The ideal candidate has experience in HR, strong analytical skills, a track record of supporting cross-functional initiatives, and a passion for problem solving. In this role, you will work closely with the HR leadership team primarily focusing on the financial activities and related projects of the department.

Key Responsibilities

Budget Management
• Collaborate with cross-functional HR teams to ensure HR headcount, open requisitions (replacements/adds) are reported accurately and planned for throughout the year
• Manage the overall budget and expenses, understanding spend across a variety of areas and analyze for optimization
• Enhance process for each HR area to create an annual budget and manage towards those forecasts throughout the year
• Manage global HR travel budget and forecasts including building tools to enhance self-service
• Enhance process for allocation of HR expenses to other areas of the firm
• Create process for disseminating this reporting across the HR leadership for their respective areas of oversight
• Work closely with the Finance department

Business Operations
• Manage NYC office and desk location relocations for HR in partnership with Corporate Services and Real Estate
• Approve and manage technology procurement and allocation for the HR department


HR Services Global Initiatives
• Help coordinate agendas and follow-up actions for global HR Services team meetings
• Work with HR Services teams to ensure a consolidation of the global HR services initiatives and progress against goals
• Work with Global COO closely on progress of the HR Services team initiatives
• Cascade updates on initiatives across cross-functional teams within HR


Qualifications


Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources
• Proven experience in data analysis and creating clear, concise reports or presentations for leadership
• Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives, ideally in partnership with project and/or change management teams


Skills and Competencies
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including experience preparing materials for senior leaders.
• High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across different stakeholders
• Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively through influence, without direct authority over projects or teams
• Comfort working with spreadsheets, reporting tools and basic project/portfolio trackers

The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
