The Commodity Client Coverage team provides the marketing, structuring and pricing of hedging solutions for the commodities markets as well as support the prospecting of, and ongoing relationship management with, clients.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will manage direct client contact across a broad range of metals markets and products, including LME, precious metals, critical minerals and bulk commodities. You will provide sales coverage across the EMEA region as part of Macquaries established commodities platform, supporting both new business development and ongoing client relationships.

You will be responsible for pricing commodity trading strategies and executing and booking trades, while developing a strong understanding of commodity markets to help grow and support the client base. The role also involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders such as traders, credit, legal and risk teams to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of business. Throughout, you will have the opportunity to develop professionally in line with Macquaries values of Opportunity, Accountability and Integrity.

  • 12 years experience in financial or commodity markets (advantageous).
  • A Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • A strong understanding of, and genuine interest in, financial markets.
  • An interest in, or prior exposure to, commodities (a plus).
  • An analytical and creative mindset.
  • Resilience, persistence, and a proactive, cando attitude.
  • Proficiency in English (essential); additional languages such as German, Spanish, or Italian are desirable but not essential.
