JOB DESCRIPTION
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Senior User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Analyst is responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery of LSEG Markets business critical systems through comprehensive UAT planning and execution. This role involves collaborating closely with business and project members to validate solutions against requirements, delivering and owning all testing test artefacts including test plans, test scripts, defect logs, and test reports. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to establish and drive process improvements in UAT practices, including automation frameworks creation and test libraries' maintenance. An understanding of financial services and regulatory requirements is beneficial.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Follow software testing processes and UAT methodologies and processes, working across critical stages of the product lifecycle to ensure successful business acceptance testing.
Coordinate all UAT activities from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with users needs, project timelines and objectives.
Plan, perform test execution, and report on UAT activities in line with LSEG standards and UAT strategy, guaranteeing product solutions meet business and customer needs.
Analyse product requirements, identify testing needs, and proactively raise clarifications with product owners, delivery managers, and business.
Develop, perform testing, and maintain UAT test cases (manual and automated), and overlook assigned tasks to Associates when required to ensure timely completion.
Perform defect logging, tracking, and resolution using appropriate tools, communicating issues where necessary to minimise disruption to business users.
Ensure continuous improvement by recommending and implementing enhancements to UAT frameworks and processes.
Support collaboration and trust within the team, ensuring effective communication and understanding of tasks.
Maintain clear and proactive communication channels, asking questions and providing updates to keep customers informed.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Essential Skills
Knowledge in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or equivalent
Solid understanding of UAT processes and software quality assurance methodologies.
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and how UAT fits within it.
Hands-on experience in manual testing and familiarity with test automation tools.
Good experience in the product development life cycle and one programming language.
Proficiency in defect analysis, reporting, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors.
Critical thinking and ability to follow or recommend the right testing approach.
Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly and adapt to change.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business users.
Growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
Desirable Skills
Experience in developing or maintaining test automation frameworks.
Knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably for multi-tiered applications.
At least basic understanding of trading systems or financial services domain.
