Role Summary
The Senior Technical Delivery Manager is accountable for end-to-end delivery of product outcomes in a high-performing engineering organisation. You will help teams deliver complex initiatives predictably, safely, and sustainablywhile continuously improving how we plan, build, release, and run software.
You will provide delivery leadership across one or more initiatives, strengthen our delivery culture, and coach teams on effective ways of working in line with the Workspace Product Playbook.
Workspace Platform Engineering builds applications that help customers understand markets, make informed decisions, and connect with the worlds largest verified directory of financial professionalson a platform designed to support innovation across global financial services.
What Youll Be Doing
1. Outcome led product delivery
Own delivery of product initiatives from shaping and discovery through build, release, and operational adoption.
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate strategy into executable delivery plans aligned to measurable outcomes (not just outputs).
Make trade offs explicit, evidence based, and transparent.
2. End to end technical delivery leadership
Lead delivery across the full SDLC, ensuring quality, security, operability, and production readiness are built in.
Engage credibly with engineers and architects on delivery implications of technical decisions (architecture, environments, releases, dependencies).
Bridge business intent and technical execution to deliver against broader organisational strategy.
3. Predictable flow and dependency management
Create and maintain integrated delivery plans and backlogs across teams.
Actively identify, manage, and reduce cross team dependencies and delivery risks.
Enable effective Agile / Lean operating rhythms that sustain momentum and reduce waste.
4. Quality, release, and operational excellence
Ensure clear acceptance criteria, testing strategy, and release readiness.
Champion production ready delivery: monitoring, supportability, rollback, and clear ownership.
Prevent operational drag by addressing delivery risks early rather than post release.
5. Metrics driven delivery improvement
Use delivery and outcome metrics to assess health, identify constraints, and drive continuous improvement.
Move teams from status reporting to insight led decision making.
Demonstrably improve predictability, throughput, and quality over time.
6. Stakeholder and governance leadership
Provide concise, executive grade communication focused on decisions and options.
Lead governance forums where required to resolve risks and unblock delivery.
Where applicable owns the product budget and performs regular financial reviews, tracking and measuring financial performance and expected outcomes against plan and validating financial forecasts
Operate effectively in regulated or high assurance environments.
What Youll Bring
Experience delivering complex, cross-functional software or platform initiatives in a product-led engineering environment.
Strong SDLC knowledge and technical fluency across environments, releases, quality, and operability.
Confidence using metrics to understand delivery health, identify constraints, and drive improvement.
Experience communicating with senior stakeholders and working within governance and risk frameworks.
A track record of improving delivery ways of working (not only executing existing plans).
Ability to understand technical obstacles, participate in architecture discussions, and help teams manage technical debt and trade-offs.
Experience working effectively in a large, matrixed organisation.
Experience leading programmes or initiatives that deliver outcomes over multiple quarters.
Working knowledge of Agile and Lean ways of working, with pragmatism about what fits the team and context.
Ability to ensure deliveries align to LSEG Group Standards, governance, and risk management expectations.
Experience working in regulated or high-assurance environments (for example, financial services).
