WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance to join the Group Cost Management team. Sitting within Group Cost & Investment team and reporting to the Group Cost Management Finance Director this role is responsible for leading the Consumer cost centre of excellence team.
This role is responsible for the leadership of a team of c.40 finance professionals across Yorkshire and Bristol to deliver month end cost reporting and planning for the Consumer Division, drive automation of processes and provide SME input into Cost Planning Transformation. This role comes at a pivotal point in the ongoing transformation of the function, offering significant opportunity to shape the future direction of the team and influence the evolution of cost management across the wider Finance function.
What you'll be doing:
Setting the benchmark and leading the team on all month end activities for Consumer Lending and Relationships. Providing review, challenge, question and insight on all key outputs to ensure the highest standard and quality
Maintain a safely controlled cost and risk environment
Review, investigate and challenge material exceptions and provide supporting information
Build and manage relationships with all key stakeholders. Seeking feedback from customers and inspiring the team to deliver improvements.
Be accountable for the delivery of the forecast & planning process ensuring excellent communications with all stakeholders and exceptional execution of processes.
Contribute to the strategic direction of the Cost Centre of Excellence including playing a leadership role in the Cost Transformation Programme
Provide active engagement with the Finance business partners to ensure an excellent flow of communication and standards of inputs/outputs.
Embed the Lloyds Banking Group culture and vision through visible leadership, being a role model for the Groups leadership behaviours.
Build a robust team, ensuring colleagues are developed effectively, utilising the groups Your Best principles.
What were looking for:
Scale leader who can motivate and drive delivery across a multi-site team, with a track record of developing high performing teams
Experience of leading large scale planning and reporting processes
Track record of developing a culture of process improvements, identifying opportunities for automation and simplification.
Depth of relevant financial experience, to understand and apply relevant financial principles and controls, ensuring strong financial control is applied
A proven people leader with experience operating in or leading within a Centre of Excellence model, able to motivate and drive delivery across a large, multi-site team.
Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
