KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize data wrangling tools and coding languages such as Python, PySpark, and SQL to extract valuable insights from data through analytics
- Assist in technical processes from ideation to delivery: Research, experiment, and utilizing data methodologies to build pipelines / scalable analytic tools using leading technologies
- Regularly conduct peer code reviews to ensure code quality and provide expert documentation / operating guidance for users
- Execute data operations essential for analysis, including tasks such as data cleansing, data integration, and data transformation
- Develop data engineering designs and translate efforts between business / technical stakeholders
- Monitor performance and reliability of data systems, identifying / resolving issues while proactively optimizing logic and model performance by code tuning, streamlining, resource allocation
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of technical data engineering experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Experience with programming languages (Python, PySpark, SQL)
- Experience with data quality management: Ability to ensure data integrity, accuracy, consistency through data validation, cleansing, and error handling techniques
- Experience with data processing / ETL knowledge: Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and tools for data ingestion, integration, transformation
- Expertise with development tools / methodologies (Agile, git, test driven development, CI/CD release management)
- Proven ability to rapidly ingest, transform, engineer, and visualize data
- Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
- Applicant must possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance
