Location: Central and Western, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong

International Wealth Advisory is an expert group within the JPMorgan Private Bank. Within Asia, the Wealth Advisory team works in close partnership with the trust officers from our International Trustee Companies to assist the Bank's valued clients. Wealth Advisors do not provide formal tax or legal advice nor do they charge advisory fees. Wealth Advisors interface with the client's own independent tax or legal advisors. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Enhance the value proposition of the Private Bank by helping clients understand, navigate and position themselves in relation to the tax, estate planning, immigration, asset protection, family governance and philanthropic aspects of wealth
  • Identify and articulate client needs, and meet those needs through the proper and skillful use of trusts, foundations, companies, private funds, partnerships, contracts, insurance and other tools
  • Facilitate the design and implementation of solutions with internal partners as well as external parties such as law firms, independent service providers, brokers and government agencies
  • Travel with Bankers to see clients and prospects
  • Provide input into business development and management as part of an integrated banking team

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Degree holder or above with professional qualification in law, tax or accounting
  • 10 + years of working experience in taxation, estate planning, trusts and transactional (particularly liquidity events such as IPOs)
  • Cross-border planning experience, particularly experience with offshore structures
  • Expertise in local laws and regulations on topic such as taxation, trusts, foreign investment, and succession and inheritance
  • Required to have a general working knowledge of trust and company administration matters and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and client relationship-building / and marketing skills are required for success in this role
  • Ability to work and partner very well with internal colleagues 
  • A self-starter, well organized, able to work independently and to manage own case load
  • Able to manage large / complex structuring projects
  • Professional in approach

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Knowledge of written and spoken Mandarin or Cantonese
  • Prior experience in high net worth private client relationship management preferred
