We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Wealth Planner, Greater China.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Report into the Head of Wealth Planning for Greater China to provide comprehensive wealth structuring and wealth succession guidance and solutions for high and ultra-high net-worth clients the offshore China Mainland and Taiwan market of HSBC Private Bank.
  • As a senior wealth planner, he/she will also support the Head of Wealth Planning in driving business development, innovation and revenue growth, specifically on the ultra-high net worth client segment on wealth planning topics, while collaborating with the wider Wealth Planning & Advisory team and other specialists from both inhouse and external service providers to facilitate the cross-sell of HSBC’s overall legacy capabilities.
  • Exercise key business strategies and revenue growth, while maintaining HSBC's commitment to client centric excellence.
  • Provide subject matter training to relationship managers and other internal stakeholders, and lead on other projects as assigned from time to time.
  • Monitor industry trends and maintain close relationships with intermediaries in the wealth planning industry.

Requirements


Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

  • At least 10-15 years of relevant experience either in private professional practice and/or at financial institutions advising high and ultra-high net worth clients on wealth planning topics
  • Seasoned knowledge of domestic and international client needs with direct experience on the use of trust, insurance and funds solutions
  • Degree holder in law, accounting or finance, preferably with the STEP, CPA, law qualification
  • Sound analytical mind and strong self-motivator
  • Collaborative team player who can work closely with different business partners and stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to develop strong and productive relationships with high and ultra-high net-worth clients.
  • Highest levels of ethical standards and integrity
  • Must have Chinese and English language fluency and experience in advising clients on wealth planning matters in Putonghua

The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
