Job summary
As a Loan Operations Manager in the Customer Reference Data team, you will manage a team of customer reference data analysts to ensure that loan customer data is maintained timely and accurately. You will use your deep understanding of loan products and lending services to make impactful decisions affecting the loan operations broadly. Advanced conflict management skills will be crucial for resolving issues, while strategic planning abilities will guide the direction of the team.

Job responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders across WLS to review existing processes and implement thoughtful change
  • Govern the efficiency and quality of all reference data operations for all critical segments – direct customers and internal parties
  • Leverage expert strategic planning abilities to guide the direction of our customer reference data operations, aligning with the firm's long-term goals
  • Ensure appropriate documentation, controls, and testing are in place at all times, working alongside our controls manager as applicable
  • Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or related fields
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in data analysis and syndicated lending
  • Knowledge of investment banking products, specifically loans
  • Strong problem solving and investigative skills to undertake analysis and resolve issues related to loan operations
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Self-starter and highly self-motivated
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and pivot in response to new developments
  • Knowledge of loan servicing portals
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience using loanIQ
  • Lead a team managing loan customer data, driving operational excellence and strategic improvements in loan operations.
