Join Corporate Sustainability at JPMorganChase, where we are dedicated to advancing affordable, secure, and resilient solutions to the worlds energy and environmental challenges. Our team works across the firm to advance energy and environmental priorities, and we lead external engagement with key stakeholders. 
 

As a Energy Policy Vice President on our Corporate Sustainability team, you will translate U.S. energy market signals and federal and state electricity policy/regulatory developments into commercial implications for the firm and our clients. You will deliver decision-useful market and policy analysis, advise leadership on commercial implications, and support external engagement with stakeholders at the intersection of energy, finance, and policy. 
 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate emerging federal and state energy policy and regulatory proposals, especially in the power sector, and translate them into commercial implications for priority technologies and markets. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and business units to develop policy positions and engagement strategies.
  • Design and execute external partnerships, grants, and events to support energy policy goals; represent the firm with thought partners and industry coalitions.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of key projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals. 
  • Prepare reports, slide decks, presentations, and communications materials to convey strategy, market and regulatory/policy analysis, and project updates to internal and external audiences.

     

     

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Economics, Public Policy, Finance, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in energy policy at the federal or state level. 
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a foundational understanding of energy markets and key policy/regulatory trends across power, transport, and infrastructure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Willingness to take on a range of tasks, including strategic, analytical, administrative, and partnership-related work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Expertise in wholesale electricity markets, FERC and PUC rules and regulations, grid operations, or utility resource planning highly preferred.
