Join the Corporate Sustainability team at JPMorganChase, where we are dedicated to advancing affordable, secure and resilient solutions to the world s energy and environmental challenges. Our team works across the firm to advance energy and environmental priorities, and we lead external engagement with key stakeholders.  

As an Energy Markets & Policy Associate on the Corporate Sustainability team, you will research and synthesize market signals and regulatory developments, enabling them to be translated into commercial implications for the firm and our clients. You will monitor market developments, evaluate policy and regulatory impacts, and help shape the firms engagement with stakeholders at the intersection of energy, finance, and policy.
 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and synthesize key trends and developments across energy markets

  • Evaluate emerging policy and regulatory proposals and proactively identify impacts on priority technologies and markets.  

  • Collaborate with internal teams and business units to support the firms broader energy and environment priorities and support engagements with key partners.

  • Support the planning and execution of key projects and initiatives, working with a wide variety of stakeholders to drive progress.

  • Prepare reports, slide decks, presentations, and communications materials to effectively convey team strategy, market and regulatory/policy analysis, and project updates to internal and external audiences.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. 

  • 2+ years of experience in energy finance, markets research, or energy policy with demonstrated financial/market analysis. 

  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a foundational understanding of energy markets and key policy/regulatory trends across power, transport, and infrastructure.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Willingness to take on a variety of tasks, including administrative, strategic, research, and partnership-related work.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Help shape the firms engagement with stakeholders at the intersection of energy, finance, and policy.
