Full Job Description
Location: Ciudad De Mexico, Mexico
You will work as a part of the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) global Strategic Event Marketing (SEM), Sponsorships & Tickets, and Creative Services team, which focuses on strategic direction and content delivery of franchise client events, sponsorships and tickets and creative services. The focus will be Global Investment Banking (GIB) and Payments events in Latin America.
You will engage with a broad range of business partners within SEM as well as with the GIB and Payments businesses and other areas of the firm. The event marketer will assist other team members in strategic execution, plans and protocols, in addition to joining project work streams and data maintenance. The goals are to help GIB and Payments increase client business, deepen existing client relationships, learn to drive efficiencies for all internal partners and maintain the J.P. Morgan brand standard. The role reports to a senior event marketer on the team.
Job Responsibilities
Learn and apply the fundamentals of the business, target audiences and department goals and translate the knowledge into successful client events
- Manage planning teams, direct inquiries to the proper individuals or groups, and answer inquiries on events
- Work independently on multiple programs and tasks to deliver event-related projects at the same time with different Event Marketers as the lead
- Contribute to the planning and execution of events, including, but not limited to: venue research; data maintenance and integrity; internal and external communications; invitation creation, testing and distribution; pre-event tasks, like audio visual and technical requirements; delegation housing and registration; on-site staffing and support; post-event tasks, such as reviewing survey data and supporting debriefs
- Responsible for administrative tasks, e.g., manage, review and reconcile reports (RSVP, delegation, registration, dinner assignments, etc.); managing event supplies and shipping; premium research and ordering; and production tasks of event materials like name badges, biographies, speaker introductions, briefing memos and printing
- Collaborate with other marketers and other marketing teams on event data and analyses, as well as assist in the development and reconciliation of event budgets
- Become a super user of core event related technologies
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Detail-oriented and organized with a strength in project and data management
Proactive, self-sufficient, resourceful and motivated
Strong sense of time management, prioritization and ability to execute against deliverables
Willingness to be a team player and consistently interact with peers, partners, management, relationship managers and clients
Must be able to tackle any task, trouble shoot and exemplify a positive attitude and commitment to success
BA degree
3+ years of experience in event marketing, preferably in the financial industry
Expert in Microsoft suite, especially Excel (i.e., pivot tables, V lookups and macro is a plus) and PowerPoint (i.e., interactive links, incorporate audio/visual icons, animation); proficient in SharePoint
Proficiency with firm-wide systems or ability to quickly learn systems
Requires early mornings and occasional late nights, as well as some travel
