Job Summary
As a seasoned Investment Banking professional in our Diversified Industries group, you will leverage your experience developing strong relationships with corporate and financial institution clients, working across a spectrum of banking products including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity and debt capital raises. You will act as the primary day-to-day client point of contact and lead banker on deals, overseeing the full cycle of transactional execution and driving business strategy. You will join a global team, collaborating with over 100 Analysts and Associates in the region, and will be provided opportunities to be involved real-time in transactions that may include frequent travel.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as the primary day-to-day client point of contact and lead banker on deals, leading client negotiations, Q&A processes, and management interviews.
- Develop content for strategic meetings with clients regarding M&A or capital market transactions, refining marketing/execution materials for maximum client impact DI.
- Review, coordinate, and oversee the analytic work and financial projection models of junior bankers, including detailed valuation analysis (DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, LBO analyses) and combination/other financial analyses in M&A transactions or pitch situations.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to Associates and Analysts, including training and graduate recruiting.
- Identify and manage all risks in a given deal, liaising with internal and external parties (e.g., lawyers, accountants, counterparties).
- Participate in and guide the preparation and presentation of internal committee memoranda and client presentations.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Prior work experience in an investment banking front office role, with a well-rounded academic background from a top-tier educational institution.
- Experience in training, mentoring, and supervising junior bankers.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity; impeccable attention to detail and ability to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders.
- Very strong quantitative and analytical skills, including advanced Excel modelling and valuation work.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, synthesizing large amounts of information and developing innovative solutions.
- Adaptability, able to manage projects independently and ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team; self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
- Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner.
- Excellent understanding of financial, legal, and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today's environment.
