As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the  Infrastructure Platforms team , you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.

 
Job responsibilities

 

  • Accountable for incident, problem, change management, risk, vendor and client relationship, internal and external communications, service delivery, lifecycle management, and service evolution.
  • Execute day-to-day duties of the function and define and drive MIS requirements to support and improve the business processes supported.
  • Act as the primary customer interface for day-to-day issues and queries.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and emerging management capability (e.g., Team Leader / SME).
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members and support overall team management responsibilities.
  • Develop organizational functional goals, priorities, and service objectives aligned to the overall GT strategy.
  • Create original documentation and update existing documentation.
  • Act independently and leverage critical thinking.
  • Advocate for the customer base when faced with infrastructure or business-critical issues.
  • Execute within a customer-centric environment.
  • Operate flexibly in a hands-on, fast-paced, high-pressure, client-focused, and collaborative environment.

    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

     

    • Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience

       

    • Expertise in one or more network technologies: Routing & Switching (LAN, WAN, MAN).
    • Expertise in IP services such as load balancing, Bluecoat proxies, and firewalls.
    • Expertise in data center technologies (Nexus, ASR, VXLAN, Cisco ACI / SIMPL, Arista Fabric).
    • Expertise in optical technologies (Ciena).
    • Experience working in a banking, exchange, or technology environment within a global organization.
    • Understanding of network infrastructure components and how they are tracked and managed in various systems.
    • Ability to use (or learn) scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, etc.
    • Experience with protocol analyzers (Cpacket, BigSwitch, Wireshark, Riverbed).
    • Experience with capacity/monitoring management tools (Splunk, SevOne, ThousandEyes).
