As a HR Operations Analyst - Sub Saharan Africa in the Global HR Operations team you will manage timely and accurate delivery of payroll (South Africa, Cote d’Ivoire, Kenya & Nigeria) HR operations and support employee services across multiple locations.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely end-to-end processing and delivery of monthly payroll, monthly tax payments and compliance requirements are met for payroll.
  • Respond to and resolve employee payroll queries with a strong customer service ethos.
  • Collaborate with internal partners (Finance and HR) to ensure seamless payroll processing, partner with external payroll vendors for timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Work across the EMEA region in partnership with other team members identifying opportunities to standardize procedures and processes - evaluate payroll processes for continuous improvement and identify risks with proposal for solutioning, identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, developing standard operating procedures
  • Comply with data privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Monitor and manage queries from employees via the HR query tool, coordinating resolutions and supporting inquiries within agreed SLA’s
  • Manage the onboarding process, including transfers and expats, in cooperation with the EMEA Onboarding Team.
  • Oversee the offboarding process, including terminations and leaves, in cooperation with HRBA and HR Transitions Team - administer employee benefits enrolments and terminations.
  • Support risk and control oversight, completing regulatory reporting obligations and by addressing gaps in HR processes and implementing appropriate controls, assist with audit preparation and actively participate in external and internal audits
  • Develop and maintain HR System Operation Procedures to accurately reflect processes, ensuring HR Service Support teams are well-informed and minimizing processing issues.
  • Support the document retention and destruction process, manage documentation related to HRGO activities, ensuring compliance with JP Morgan records protocols.

 Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Proven HR experience in Operations and Payroll
  • Fluent in English
  • High degree of self-organization to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and deliver results within agreed targets in a deadline-driven environment
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines.
  • Capability to work in a rigorous, Risk & Control framework
  • Good teamworking, interpersonal and communication skills, and autonomy
  • Ability to develop strong partnership with colleagues across the function and the firm, as well as with external partners
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience with HR systems and tools for process improvement, preferably gained within an international matrix-managed company
  • Advanced Excel skills with ability to analyze/ reconcile multiple data points and be able to articulate and present findings.
  • Experience with HR systems and tools
  • Experience with other EMEA payrolls, in internal or external payroll organizations.
