In this role, you will lead sensitive investigations where your judgment, integrity, and analytical approach matter every day. You will partner closely with Legal, Human Resources, Compliance, Audit, and senior stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and fairly. Your work will translate evidence into actionable outcomes that improve controls, processes, and trust.

 

As an Investigator in the EMEA Investigations Team, you will  be responsible for conducting employee investigations with an analytical mindset to identify wrongdoing and protect the reputation of the company.

You will conduct complex and sensitive employee investigations involving fraud and Code of Conduct violations and will coordinate with other senior level bank employees in Legal, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Compliance, and/or Audit throughout the course of any investigation.  

You will be focused on detailed fact finding, gathering information from a variety of sources and subject matter experts, being able to distill the information in the context of your investigation, to identify and assess root cause analysis. This will include communicating findings to management in a fashion that prompts system, process, and procedural change to address identified areas of concern.  

You will also investigate external third party fraud and deal with law enforcement requests so you will interact with key stakeholders, law enforcement, and regulatory agencies.

 

Job responsibilities

 

  • Conduct end to end investigations with a focus on detailed evidence-based analysis
  • Prepare well written reports, concentrated on relevant facts and accumulating evidence for disciplinary hearings
  • Carry out structured interviews to elicit a detailed and accurate account of an event or situation. These may be in person or in a virtual environment
  • Conduct detailed analysis and interview preparation
  • Have a control focused mindset identifying anomalies and extracting facts from multiple sources and subject matters experts, distilling them and simplifying them for easy comprehension across varying audiences
  • Understand  of evidence and how to maintain continuity
  • An awareness of the importance of data privacy and compliance within financial services

 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills.

  • Evidence of successful experience of conducting detailed investigations
  • Experience working in a corporate environment or financial services industry
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of conducting complex interviews
  • Ability to use standard office technology and learn and utilise generic case management systems within the company, and ensure up to date compliance
  • Able to clearly articulate complex concepts to varied audiences
  • Ability to work within a tight team, demonstrating flexibility, dedication and excellent team work
  • Evidence of promoting an environment of continuous improvement and learning. Candidates should be tenacious and proactive.
  • Evidence of exemplary integrity standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrating emotional intelligence in the workplace
  • Evidence of building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, and able to articulate how you have navigated demonstrating influence and illustrating impact across all levels
