This opportunity provides you with a first-class Investment Banking and Mergers and Acquisitions experience at JPMorgan.
As an origination assistant within the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team, you will work with investment banking professionals side-by-side, and take part in origination and execution of transactions.
Job responsibilities
- Support origination and execution of M&A transactions, including public and private company mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures
- Conduct research and analysis on industries, companies, and financial markets to support strategic and valuation discussions
- Assist in building financial models and preparing valuation analyses (comparable companies, precedent transactions, DCF, etc.)
- Prepare presentation materials for client meetings, including pitch books, transaction decks, and internal committee materials
- Conduct English/Korean translations and contribute to due diligence and coordination across workstreams
- Support other investment banking activities in collaboration with coverage and product teams
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- College / university junior / senior class (well-prepared sophomore acceptable)
- Strong Academic background in Business, Economics, or Accounting
- Strong English / Korean communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of global and Korea M&A and macroeconomic environment
- Good understanding of accounting and financial statements
- Proficiency in MS Office software
