Starting your career in Investment Banking Division as an Analyst/ Associate, you will be a key player in the execution of the firm's business. 

As an Analyst/ Associate banker in Korea Investment Banking Coverage team, you will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank. Senior bankers will get to know you - both as a person and as a valued member of a winning team, and you will experience training, hands-on learning opportunities, continuous mentoring and feedback, and numerous development opportunities. You will use your related experience to contribute to the firm's M&A execution and capital raising capabilities while helping build J.P. Job Responsibilities

  • Provide valuation analysis, including discounted cash flows, relative valuations, asset valuations, comparable comps, and transaction multiple.
  • Prepare pitchbook for client meetings, including M&A, ECM, and DCM pitches.
  • Prepare financial models and perform financial analysis of companies.
  • Monitor the industry for current events, valuations, and important financial information.
  • Travel for client meetings, due diligence, and industry research.
  • Support project coordination, including client communication, coordination of advisory team externally and within J.P. Morgan

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance/Economics or a related field from a top tier educational institution.
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in investment banking.
  • Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills
  • Understands transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented
  • Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business
  • Ability to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of the team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Korean

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Prior investment banking experience in M&A or industry group
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation)
  • Strong understanding of accounting (including CPA)
