Full Job Description
Location: Tokyo-To, Japan
You will be working in a team having access to internal/external senior management to drive client relationship and collaborate with professionals across the firm to develop tailored financial solutions for our clients.
As an Associate within our Global Corporate Banking business, you will be working with a team of professionals, leveraging the firm's resources to develop customized financial solutions for our clients. You will assist and guide Managing Directors, Executive Directors, Vice Presidents, other Associates and Analysts with all client activities. Your expertise will expand in areas of managing internal processes for deal executions, internal approvals, business aspects of regulatory reporting and ongoing management of client relationships. This role provides an opportunity to grow and solve problems for clients in financing, risk management, working capital, cash management and investments.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist senior Corporate Bankers in managing existing client relationships and developing new client base
- Manage internal processes for deal executions, approvals, regulatory reporting, and client relationship
- Prepare internal approval documents such as credit memos, balance sheet committee models and KYC (Know Your Customer) for annual renewal /new onboarding processes
- Help with industry and credit analysis (review financial statements, listen to and summarize investor presentations, and support credit approval and documentation process)
- Conduct industry and company research
- Maintain internal reports including deal tracking, pipeline reports, and balance sheet memos.
- Assist in the preparation of pitch books and other marketing materials to help generate new revenue
- Help with projects as requested
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Prior work experience in a corporate banking front office or related role
- Exceptional analytical, research and project management skills
- Ability to quickly solve problems on your own and with a team
- Enthusiasm, energy and a drive to succeed
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to partner and work on a team
- Fluency in English and Japanese is required both speaking and written
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
