As a Fund Client Servicing Associate within Securities Services Operations, you will manage day-to-day client services, ensuring queries are resolved and issues are escalated appropriately. You will play a crucial role in producing and validating financial reports, coordinating client visits, and leading cross-functional teams to address accounting or product-related issues. Your work will directly impact our clients' success and our team's efficiency.
Job responsibilities
- Produce and validate International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)-compliant and regulatory reports accurately and on time.
- Take ownership of reporting activities, hub governance, and service change requests.
- Analyze client accounting records and escalate potential issues.
- Coordinate client visits for service reviews and training sessions.
- Lead internal and external parties to resolve accounting or product-related issues.
- Maintain organized records for each client to facilitate query management and audits.
- Support the continuous development of processes and controls within the group.
- Train and develop junior team members.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- University graduate with a major in Finance or Accounting.
- 6+ years of experience in financial reporting, audit, or fund accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, VBA, Access, Word)
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Professional approach to delivering quality client service
- Ability to communicate effectively within a small team
- Willingness to work additional hours during peak reporting times
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Understanding of security types and their accounting treatment
- Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards or International Accounting Standards
- Knowledge of stock market practices and data vendor systems (e.g. Bloomberg)
- Fluency in Japanese is an advantage
- Highly motivated, execution-driven, and flexible character
- Strong end-to-end ownership, governance, and risk management skills
