As a Data Management Associate - Data Governance at JPMorgan Chase within the Strategic Growth Office, you will manage data ownership for information assets and support governance initiatives. You will work closely with firmwide teams and stakeholders, providing guidance and training to Data Owners. Your role will involve reviewing data risk metrics and driving appropriate actions to ensure effective governance.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage Data Ownership for information assets in SGO.
  • Provide resources and guidance to Data Owners, including firmwide or LOB/CF specific training as necessary.
  • Review Firmwide Data Risk Metrics for Information Assets; determine and drive appropriate action.
  • Create data governance materials for Data and Privacy Forums, documenting meeting minutes as needed.
  • Work with firmwide teams and stakeholders to support governance initiatives.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in data risk management/data governance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of data management principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with a solid understanding of controls and risk management experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience in data governance within a large financial institution.
  • Advanced knowledge of data management tools and technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
