As a Associate in the Corporate and Investment Banking Controls India Team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the firms control environment across multiple programs, thereby safeguarding the organizations assets and ensuring operational integrity. You will be responsible for monitoring and testing controls, partnering with cross-functional teams to align on control objectives, and supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of control frameworks in line with regulatory requirements and firm-wide standards. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, clear and effective communication, and the ability to operate independently and proactively within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and sustain the team through demonstration of the expectations and capabilities that continues to meet the business demands, regulatory challenges, adaptable to change and growth while driving efficiencies.
- Develop and maintain centralized controls reporting, ensuring consistency with global standards.
- Support the design, implementation, and governance of the Control Framework.
- Address audit findings and implementing corrective actions by liaising with business/product teams.
- Conduct training sessions to raise awareness about risk management and control processes.
- Experienced in people management and should be able to manage a team and demonstrate team management capabilities.
- Lead and participate in meetings, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive process improvements.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelors degree with 9+ years of financial services with experience in controls, risk management, or related functions.
- Strong understanding of controls and their application to business processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with global teams.
- Ability to function effectively under tight deadlines and adapt to changing environments.
- Experience in process improvement and operational excellence.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in Banking Risk and Control domains & understanding of Controls organization and exposure to firmwide regulations.
- Proven track record in process transformation and automation. Strong team player with the ability to work independently and think strategically.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively with flexibility to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint along with knowledge of data analytical tools like Alteryx and Tableau is an advantage.
