As a Client Tax Analyst within the Global Tax Operation, you will be supporting the filing of tax reclaims across different markets for different lines of JP Morgan businesses. In this business-critical role, you will be responsible for the core processes of relief at source documentation and preparation and submission of retrospective tax reclaims to the Tax Authorities within EMEA. Global Tax Operations primary responsibility is to maximise client's investments by either facilitating effective tax relief at source on client investment income or retrospectively reclaiming taxes from global tax authorities. This is a high-risk product with diverse market procedures, a significant change agenda and complex market/regulatory requirements.
Job responsibilities
- Complete the reconciliation of income and tax to request agent vouchers and other ad hoc documents
- Ascertaining all requests are appropriately captured and required documents are delivered on time
- Ensuring all tax relief and reclaim processes are performed in accordance with regulatory requirements with a focus on accuracy and timely execution of regulatory obligations
- Understanding market changes and their impact on internal processes
- Maintenance of internal records and procedures to ensure all market and procedural changes are captured accurately
- Complete the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project and process documentation
- Identification of risks and handling resolutions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Basic knowledge of dividend income and related tax
- Strong team player and showcase multitasking and excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain accuracy with strict deadlines
- Proficiency in MS excel skills e.g. pivot tables, analytics tools, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Technical knowledge of International tax rules and regulations
- Ability to develop innovative and creative solutions to complex issues
- Knowledge of Alteryx, PEGA, and other low code tools
