What role you will play in our team

 

We are seeking professionals with a background in accounting, financial analysis, or consulting to support ExxonMobils global businesses. In this role, you will deliver high-quality financial information, provide performance insights, and enable informed decision-making. Success in this position requires the ability to translate financial data into business insights, and effective management of multiple priorities and deadlines.

What you will do

 

Key Responsibilities:


   Manage and ensure timely preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns, transfer pricing returns, VAT/GST returns, tax claims, and other statutory tax forms by collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging ERP data.
   Support the preparation and review of annual transfer pricing documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
   Oversee the timely and accurate payment of all tax obligations, including VAT/GST and advance tax.
   Prepare detailed tax computations and supporting documentation for VAT/GST refund applications and other available tax incentives.
   Handle VAT/GST registrations, including updates to existing registrations and new applications in line with evolving business needs.
   Assist in preparing submissions and liaising with tax authorities to ensure timely and accurate responses to queries and notices.
   Monitor changes in direct and indirect tax regulations and support the implementation of necessary system and process updates.
   Support tax accounting activities, including reconciliations and audit requirements.
   Coordinate with external tax consultants to track filings, assessments, and refund statuses.
   Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and overall operational effectiveness.

 

You will work closely with both finance and operational teams, contributing directly to business decisions and process improvements. 


You can expect to rotate through 23 assignments within your first 56 years, gaining exposure across areas such as Planning, Stewardship & Analytics, Corporate Accounting & Reporting, and Cash Operations. Assignments and responsibilities will align with your experience and performance.


Strong performance will open opportunities for increased responsibility, cross-business mobility, and potential international assignments, with a pathway toward leadership roles.

About You

 

Skills and qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related fields
  • Candidates with 3+ years of experience in international tax compliance/ tax audit/ tax advisory are preferred
  • Fluent in English: TOEIC 800+, TOEFL iBT 98+, or IELTS 6.5+
  • Solid analytical skills with a strong foundation in financial and accounting principles
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated strong academic performance
  • Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Group Reporting, BlackLine, Workiva) or data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) is an advantage
