Procurement Tech Product Lead
Job Description
Jefferies is seeking a Techno Functional Lead with deep expertise across the Procure to Pay (P2P) full lifecycle, including sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and downstream integration with ERP Accounts Payable and General Ledger platforms.
The primary focus of this role is the development, configuration, deployment, and optimization of GEP Smarts Source to Pay platform, tightly integrated with PeopleSoft Financials. The program is currently in Phase 2, with emphasis on Procure to Pay functionality and Supplier Management maintenance across all Jefferies locations globally.
This role requires acting as the Procure to Pay Subject Matter Expert (SME), while leading technical teams in the design and development of system customizations, integrations, and reporting solutions. The role is responsible for ensuring functional accuracy, technical alignment, and data integrity across GEP Smart Source to Pay and PeopleSoft Finance (AP & GL).
Key Responsibilities:
Development & Implementation
- Solution Design: Conduct Fit/Gap analysis and align PeopleSoft delivered functionality with GEPs strategic sourcing and purchasing requirements.
- Development: Lead offshore development team providing hands on oversight during customization development, testing and deployment.
- Integration Management: Design and Support complex integrations between PeopleSoft and GEP Smart using integration broker and REST APIs.
- Data Migration: Oversee the migration of configuration and supplier master data from PeopleSoft to GEP Smart.
Reporting & Analytics: Develop advanced reporting solutions using BI Publisher, SQR, PS Query and GEP Analytics.
Production Support:
- Critical Period Support: Lead the technical team during high-pressure cycles such as Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End financial closings.
- Incident Management: Act as the Technical Lead for production issues, managing triage, troubleshooting transaction failures, and performing root cause analysis.
- SLA Management: Ensure all production tickets are resolved within agreed-upon timelines and provide status updates to management.
- Work closely with Integration and development teams to resolve integrations issues.
Team Management & Quality Assurance:
- Team Coordination: Manage and mentor junior/offshore developers, conducting code reviews and providing technical and functional guidance to solve complex production issues.
- Validation & Testing: Define testing strategies (Unit, SIT and UAT) and collaborate with all teams to ensure all deliverables meet quality and security standards.
Documentation:
- Own the creation of Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and Technical Design Documents (TDDs) for enhancements, reports, and Interfaces.
- Work with product team in creating training guides for the P2P business process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
- 10+ years of PeopleSoft experience, including 3+ years in a senior or lead capacity
- Experience delivering and supporting global implementations
- Proven leadership managing offshore and onshore teams
- Proficient with MS Project, ServiceNow, and JIRA
Functional Expertise
- Deep expertise across the end to end Procure to Pay (P2P) lifecycle, including requisitioning, purchasing, receiving, invoicing, 3 way matching, accounting impacts, and supplier lifecycle management.
- Strong functional knowledge of PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2, with hands on experience in the following modules:
- eProcurement
- Purchasing (PO)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- General Ledger (GL)
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable system solutions aligned with financial controls and audit requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated strength in stakeholder management, cross functional collaboration, and structured problem solving.
Technical Expertise
- Strong mastery of PeopleTools 8.5x, including:
- PeopleCode
- SQR
- Advanced SQL (Oracle / SQL Developer)
- Hands on experience designing and supporting system integrations, including:
- PeopleSoft Integration Broker (REST/SOAP)
- API and Web Servicesbased integrations
- Proven experience building and supporting operational and financial reporting, utilizing:
- PS Query
- BI Publisher
- SQR
- Ability to analyze data flows and ensure accuracy, integrity, and reconciliation across P2P, AP, and GL systems.
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $125,000 - $175,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individuals experience level and qualifications.
