Full Job Description

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Rates Trader to support market-making, risk management, and client trading activities across Asian interest rate markets. The role focuses primarily on Asia EM and G10 rates, contributing to desk performance through disciplined risk-taking, accurate pricing, and close collaboration with Sales and Structuring teams. This position is a replacement hire following an internal departure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage trading risk across vanilla interest rate products, including swaps, futures, and cash bonds.

  • Provide pricing and liquidity in Asia EM and G10 linear rates products.

  • Actively manage DV01, curve, and spread risks within approved limits.

  • Support client execution and trade idea generation in partnership with the Sales team.

  • Ensure full compliance with internal risk management, conduct, and control frameworks.

Key Requirements

  • Relevant experience in interest rate trading, preferably within Asian markets.

  • Strong understanding of vanilla rates products.

  • Demonstrated risk discipline with clear P&L accountability.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
