Your role & work environment

Within the Advisory & SRT Management team, your role as Portfolio and Securitization Advisor is mainly to be responsible for the management of transactions executed by ING using its own assets for the purpose of mainly risk transfer and regulatory capital release. Also as a member of Group Treasury PSM, you participate to providing solutions (i.e. securitized deals, covered bonds and credit claims) aiming to improve different locations key indicators/ratios such contingent liquidity, solvency, AE levels, etc. (i.e. location being NL, BE and SP mainly).


Your key responsibilities

Pre-closing

  • Analyzing and challenging all proposals regarding new deals
  • Defining, setting up and presenting the structure scheme and all financial aspects to all relevant parties involved in the transaction (external and internal)
  • Setting up the appropriate accounting treatment, operational environment and properly advising on risk impact if any (cfr. SRT deals)

Post-closing

  • Booking of the different deals in the Front Office systems (Bloomberg, Murex, Summit FT, etc.)
  • Follow up of the Front office positions in close cooperation with the Back Office, the Middle Office and Finance
  • Managing the external and internal audit processes for all SPV
  • Propose new operational approaches
  • Key stakeholder while defining operational best practices applicable throughout the Group

Transactions being managed by Portfolio and Securitization Management are essential to INGs credit risk (and liquidity management). Therefore, lack of co-ordination, negligence or errors can lead to major negative consequences for ING both from a financial and reputation point of view.

  • Relevant professional experience with financial products and treasury; experience in securitization (and more specifically synthetic securitization/SRT) is considered a strong asset,
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, Front Office systems like Summit FT, Murex and Bloomberg would be an asset
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills,
  • Excellent written and verbal skills of English and Dutch or French
