The Healthcare sector is part of our Technology, Media, Telecom and Healthcare (TMT&H) sector team at ING Wholesale Banking. The Global TMT&H sector team provides advisory services, highly competitive banking products and services to its more than 500 clients worldwide. As an intern focusing on the Healthcare sector, you will have an excellent opportunity to develop professionally, gain in-depth insight into the Healthcare industry and its clients, and become familiar with the wholesale banking business. Your Tasks

  • From day one, youll play an active role in our deal origination efforts, analysing financial information, conducting market research, performing peer group analyses, reviewing information memoranda and term sheets, and drafting commercial proposals that help us win new business.
  • Whether youre supporting multi-product pitches for our Healthcare clients or preparing presentations for internal and external stakeholders, your contribution makes a real impact.
  • Using your analytical skills, youll contribute to Healthcare Sector-related debt sizing exercises, assess transaction structures and prepare detailed comparable company analyses.
  • As you dive deeper into the role, youll build your sector expertise by keeping a close eye on market trends, key drivers, competitors, and macro developments, helping our team strengthen its strategic position.
  • Additionally, you immerse yourself into our lending transactions and aid us in coordinating our credit approval process with the Corporate Sector Lending team.
  • Using the expertise you gain along the way, you involve yourself in shaping client strategies, maintaining relationships and learn to identify prospective clients as well as how to prepare business plan proposals.
  • Youll collaborate with departments across the bank and gain valuable insights into how teams work together to achieve our sector income, fee, cross-buy, ESG, and return targets, while contributing to both our financial and non-financial objectives.
  • Throughout your internship, youll not only sharpen your analytical and communication skills but also experience what it means to work in a truly international and collaborative environment.

Your Profile

  • Enrolled in Bachelors / Masters degree preferably in Economics, Econometrics, Business Administration, Law, Engineering or in a gap year between Bachelors and Masters
  • Practical experience in related fields (e. g. Wholesale / Corporate Banking, Transaction Services, Structured Asset Finance, Leveraged Finance, Debt Advisory) and sector knowledge in Healthcare / Pharma is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office products (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Analytical, detail-oriented team player with priority on quality
  • High degree of self-initiative, eager to take on responsibility in an agile and international environment
  • Willingness to contribute to shaping the world of tomorrow
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills in English, any other language (e. g. German) is a bonus
