Your role & work environment
Your key responsibilities
Functional management
- Oversee the development and execution of the Luxembourg communications and marketing plans and budget.
- Ensure plans are tailored to the local market while remaining aligned with global corporate and business area strategic goals and the strategic objectives in Luxembourg.
- Oversee the selection and management of external vendors contracted to support communication initiatives.
Strategic advisory and activation
- Lead, in close collaboration with the Luxembourg CEO and local heads of business lines, the development of executive messaging and internal and external communication to unite, excite and get buyin for the strategy.
- Take the lead on communication of special projects in a structured and timely way across all relevant stakeholder groups.
- Lead change communication around the repositioning of the business and the buildout of Wholesale Banking and Private Banking.
Reputation management, stakeholder engagement
- Manage active relationships with key Luxembourg external stakeholders, including media, and oversee INGs reaction to sensitive issues as well as proactive media engagement.
- Oversee the monitoring of media and reputation in the Luxembourg market and provide, direct or arrange media training for externalfacing staff.
Team leadership
- Lead the Brand, Marketing and Communications team in Luxembourg, including performance management, talent management and development, and play an active role in global functional forums and working groups.
We look for
- 1015 years in PR and/or external communications and marketing, preferably in financial services, professional services or a related industry,
- Degreelevel qualification in Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
- Experience in crisis communications and leading communications for large change projects, with a strong understanding of risk, control and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Possesses, or demonstrates the ability to rapidly build, strong relationships across Luxembourgs media landscape, enabling effective engagement with key stakeholders
