Core Responsibilities

• Monitor one or more European gas markets (WD to FM) and the relevant supply and demand factors
• Be an active part of the trading team and participate in weekend shifts to catch market opportunities
• Understanding of both micro & macro drivers to a more global gas market 
• Execute trades based on quantitative signals and/or discretionary insights 
• Contribute to a shared proprietary trading book
• Ensure nominations and scheduling are carried out correctly
• Develop into a domain expert within the relevant markets and products 
• Drive innovation in trading strategies 
• Support training of new joiners on the desk

Skills and Experience

• Strong academic background, preferably in a quantitative field
• 2+ years of professional experience in trading gas in Europe, preferably at a proprietary trading desk
• Proven track record of P&L ownership
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a healthy risk appetite, competitive nature, and fast decision-making capabilities
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient coding skills in Python
• Fluency in English
