Some careers have more impact than others.

If youre looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join HSBC and discover how valued youll be. HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world, with operations in 62 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realize their ambitions. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of VP Change Analyst

In this role, you will:

  • Support end-to-end delivery across the change lifecycle: initiation, planning, requirements, design, build, testing, deployment and hypercare.
  • Support delivery of change initiatives impacting Capital and Statistical Regulatory Reporting (CSRR) by combining project management discipline with business analysis capability. The role helps ensure changes are delivered on time, well-controlled, and aligned to global regulatory requirements, with minimal disruption to BAU reporting.
  • Maintain delivery artefacts: integrated plan, milestones, RAID log, actions, change control, and dependency tracking.
  • Elicit, document and manage requirements/user stories for CSRR changes (capital/statistical reporting), including acceptance criteria.
  • Produce and maintain key documentation: process maps, data flow diagrams, control narratives, and operating procedures updates.
  • Support impact assessments across process, data, systems and controls; identify upstream/downstream impacts to reporting outputs.
  • Partner with SMEs to define control requirements (reconciliations, maker-checker, data quality checks, sign-offs) and ensure theyre embedded in the solution.
  • Work closely with Change Leads, BAU reporting teams, Technology, Data and Controls to progress deliverables. Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual adjustments, and improve automation and standardisation across CSRR change delivery.
  • Communicate clearly across time zones; escalate risks/issues early with options and recommendations.

To be successful you will:

  • Experience in project delivery/Project Management and/or business analyst role within financial services (regulatory reporting, finance, risk or data change) of 15+ yrs
  • Must have experience of regulatory reporting (capital and/or statistical) and/or understanding of controlled reporting processes.
  • Must have experience in RWA/Regulatory Reporting/Basel-3 or 4/credit risk
  • Must have experience working in agile and/or hybrid delivery models (Jira/Confluence or similar) is an advantage.
  • Strong analysis and documentation skills (requirements, process mapping, controls, test artefacts).
