We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Specialist Consultant.

Business: HASE Technology

Principal responsibilities

• Serve as a primary liaison with internal stakeholders, including Global Cloud Services (GCS) Technical Leads and external Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), to ensure alignment with bank-wide IT governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HKMA, MAS, GDPR).

• Evaluate and facilitate the secure and compliant onboarding of GCS-approved components, services, and external CSP offerings into Hang Seng Bank's IT ecosystem. This includes conducting thorough due diligence, risk assessments, and control validations.

• Conduct regular assessments and reviews of IT controls across various technology domains, identifying gaps and recommending pragmatic remediation strategies to enhance the control environment.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed governance and control requirements throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure deployment processes for cloud and AI initiatives.

• Work closely with finance and technology teams to ensure transparent reporting and forecasting of cloud and AI expenditures.

• Lead and contribute to the development and deployment of cost-saving initiatives driven by Global FinOps across Hang Seng Bank, specifically within the cloud and AI technology domains. This includes optimizing resource utilization, identifying cost efficiencies, and promoting a culture of financial accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or a related field

• Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Alicloud) and a strong understanding of their security controls, governance models, and best practices.

• Experience in conducting IT risk assessments, control gap analysis, and defining remediation plans.

• Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform)

• Proficiency in English; written and spoken

• Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure

• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
