Youll support the global delivery of a high quality and standardised approach to the management of HSBCs vendors, supporting the development and implementation of new operating models to ensure they are effectively managed and deliver services that continually meet HSBC requirements.

Youll be responsible for supporting the production of the global third-party management strategy, designing and deploying improved organisational structures and operating models to drive consistent high-quality outcomes.

Youll also be responsible for maximising performance insights and leveraging new technology to continually simplify supplier management processes, ensuring efficient, consistent and accurate execution against service, cost, contract performance and relationship disciplines feeding into and influencing ongoing requirements for underlying support technology as required. Youll also ensure appropriate skills training is delivered to enable Supplier Management best practices across the organisation.

To achieve this, youll need to partner effectively with our network of global stakeholders, actively promoting enhancement recommendations and driving change through to successful delivery.

In this role youll:

Employ professional practices to achieve tangible change and demonstrate the effect from a value bottom line and risk / control perspective

Lead and influence senior stakeholders across the Business to support and roll out Global Procurements Supplier Management Handbook and framework

Question the business where required to push the boundaries of current thinking around Supplier Management for example, the practical use of value targets for post contract activity

Continually drive for greater visibility and oversight of the businesses most important suppliers

Make good use of data to drive control and management of key strategic suppliers

Support the development of mid-to-long term SLAs to achieve service improvement

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

A deep understanding of supplier management methodologies

Experience in development, orchestration and delivery of supplier management enhancements

Strong commercial acumen and extensive expertise in contract management

Development, orchestration and delivery of proactive governance models to manage supplier relationships

Experience in design and deployment of joint value creation approach with third parties

Supply chain risk identification, analysis and mitigation

Use of relevant measures to demonstrate ROI of supplier management initiatives and programmes

Commercial, contracts and supplier management, experience in managing complex global supplier relationships

Experience of using Coupa, Service Now (desirable)
