Support growth in the business, by contributing towards a range of analytical projects that enhance existing product features and manages the exposure of our existing customers. Provide analysis to monitor credit portfolios against agreed performance indicators, identify emerging trends and future risks. Support the strategic direction of the team in proactively improving our processes / creating efficiency saves and delivering on analytical tasks. Build strong interpersonal relationships and engage with the wider organisation to provide insight and support for changes required to improve customer outcomes. Previous experience in a relevant analytical / data science role, within a Retail Credit Risk or analytics department (or equivalent in other industries). Excellent attention to detail and a track record of analytical capabilities using relevant software packages (i.e. SAS/SQL/VBA/Python) to analyse large amounts of data, draw conclusions and drive actions. An understanding of consumer lending products, profitability and credit risk is desirable. Technical knowledge of credit reference agencies and bureau data fields / reporting is desirable. Knowledge of FCA regulations and experience of their application in a consumer lending environment is desirable. Experience of planning your own tasks and activities in line with business priorities, using a variety of analysis and problem solving techniques. Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered.
