Private Banking Department - Private Banking and Trust Services RBW

Hang Seng's Private Banking provides services for people who have successfully built their asset base and now want to place their wealth in the hands of experts who know how to nurture it.

Our banking services and products are bespoke, ranging from tailored investment advice and capital solutions to holistic health and personal protection and trustee services. Our team offers professional wealth management advice at both a local level and on a global scale.

Should you join our Private Banking business, you will focus on building close relationship with our high-net-worth customers, providing professional advice and premium service to them and contribute to the profitability of the Bank.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Relationship Manager, reporting to Team Head Relationship Management.

Principal responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of HNW clients assigned by the RM Team Head
  • Provide day-to-day servicing and handling inbound instructions and queries; deliver retail banking support and provide wealth advice upon request - in line with suitability and sales quality requirements
  • Complete periodic reviews end-to-end, including CDD, IP, CIPQ, credit reviews, and policy anniversary reviews, ensuring no overdue items
  • Execute re-segmentation of appropriate clients to other segments, or manage exit from the Bank, as appropriate and within policy
  • Identify clients with uplift potential and drive actions to reactivate relationships towards minimum thresholds, where feasible
  • Work as an integral part of the RM team and collaborate with other Service RMs across teams as required
  • Perform cross-selling and refer business as opportunity arises and as appropriate

Requirements

  • University graduate or above, preferably in Finance, Business or related disciplines
  • Passes HKSI and IIQE licensing examinations
  • Proven banking experience, with good knowledge of investment products
  • Proven experience in a client-facing environment with strong sales orientation and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively, embrace change and overcome challenges
  • Strong desire to learn and able to work in Agile environment
  • Good communication, interpersonal, analytical and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in both written English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua and other dialects an advantage
  • High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers
  • Ability to communicate effectively, embrace change and overcome challenges
  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
