Responsibilities of the role holder
As a Middle Office Operations Analyst, you will collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, as well as external counterparties and exchanges, to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our trading business.
- Provide excellent client services to both trading desk by providing accurate, timely responses to queries and issues.
- Extensive contact with traders / dealers on a daily basis and should be able understand the pressures of working on a complex business.
- Provide daily trade capture controls and trade lifecycle controls, cash management, as well as clearing and settlement.
- Manage and monitor all day-to-day work of the team, ensuring all are delivered within SLAs / agreed timeframes while at all times being aware of controls and policies and ensuring adherence by the team and the business.
- Work closely with all business lines and other regional office to develop global infrastructure and platforms to standardize operating model to support growing business.
- Participate in various projects, new business objective and ongoing business improvement.
- Supporting the end-to-end product lifecycle & transaction management with different stakeholders.
- Be detail-oriented and agile for existing products and new product initiatives.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3-5 years’ hands-on experiences in Securities firm or international financial institutions to support clearing & settlement of either Fixed Income business, brokerage business, or Asset Management business.
- Professional experience within a middle office or operations team. Experience in product lifecycle management and trade validation.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Sound understanding of various FI / Equity products (Cash Bond, repo, MM, IRS, Cash Equities, Options, etc..).
- Good understanding of end-to-end trade life cycle and operational risk.
- Proven ability to work independently and complete tasks and projects autonomously.
- Good command of English (both verbal & written) and Mandarin.
- Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure.
- Proactive problem-solver capable of identifying issues and generating solutions.
