We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze business and technical requirements for multi-region mainframe applications (e.g., US, Mexico, France).
  • Develop and maintain batch and online COBOL components. Build and support JCL for scheduling, execution, monitoring, and failure recovery.
  • Design and tune DB2 SQL and data access paths for performance and stability. Manage VSAM data structures supporting high-volume payments processing.
  • Using AI Models to extract business logic from legacy programs and help in modernization. Guide team and manage the workloads.
  • Contribute to code reviews, release deployments, and incident/root-cause analysis.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to coding standards and audit/compliance controls.
  • Partner with QA, Operations, production support, and business stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing production support and operational readiness.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 12+ years mainframe development experience within large-scale enterprise environments. Strong COBOL capability across batch and online workloads.
  • Proven JCL expertise, including job setup, utilities, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Working knowledge of DB2, covering SQL development, query optimization, and debugging. Practical experience in VSAM file design, access methods, and processing.
  • Hands-on exposure to CICS transaction development and/or production support. Strong production-grade debugging, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, change control, and release/deployment processes. Hands-on experience with tools such as Xatester, Sonar, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration across technical and business teams.
  • 7+ years Experience in banking/financial services domain specifically payments applications. Experience with incident/problem management frameworks (ITIL).
  • Basic understanding of Windows Serverbased applications and operating environments. Using AI Models/agents to work with Cobol programs to extract business logic.
