Full Job Description

The Business Credit Office (BCO) team is part of COO at HSBC Mexico. As a Junior Credit Analyst, youll own the end-to-end credit process for Wholesale Banking customers, partnering with Relationship Managers to structure credit solutions aligned to clients financial needs and supporting the growth of HSBCs lending portfolio.

Key responsibilities

  • Support RMs in structuring short- and long-term financing solutions.
  • Identify and assess risks to ensure proper mitigation and compliance with Mexican banking regulation and HSBC internal policies.
  • Prepare credit applications fully written in English, including financial statement analysis, industry analysis and annual projections to assess repayment capacity.
  • Monitor portfolio compliance (financial and non-financial terms), identify negative trends and ensure completeness of credit files to facilitate payments and disbursements.
  • Engage with clients to follow up documentation and obtain first-hand information for monitoring and new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal support teams (spreading, file monitoring, operations, legal).

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Economics, Actuarial Science, Financial Management, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related.
  • Proficient English (written and spoken).
  • Strong financial statement analysis skills.
  • Basic knowledge of derivatives.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organisation and ability to manage multiple deliverables; proactive communication and teamwork.
