We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Employee Listening Consultant - Engagement and Activation
Purpose of the role
- At HSBC, listening to colleagues and responding to their feedback is central to our people strategy. In this role you will be key to ensuring employee feedback is translated into meaningful action, driving improvements in employee experience and supporting HSBC’s strategic priorities.
- With continuous feedback data from over 200,000 colleagues across 57 markets, the Employee Listening and Dialogue team provides a unique perspective on life at HSBC that is trusted by colleagues and valued by leadership.
- Your focus will be on embedding closed-loop feedback systems, optimising the use of tools like Qualtrics and GenAI, and connecting insights to action at scale. You’ll help managers and employees turn feedback into tangible steps to improve experience and deliver high performance.

In This Role, You Will:
- Champion the adoption and effective use of employee feedback tools and resources, ensuring insights are translated into practical actions at the team and organisational level.
- Develop action planning materials, resources, and guidance that help to make feedback relevant and steer colleagues towards actions and tools that align with HSBC’s strategic priorities and cultural ambitions.
- Partner with colleagues across People, Governance and Communications, and with Technology teams, acting as a trusted adviser and connector across programmes and products.
- Work as an individual contributor within a global team, sharing best practices and supporting colleagues in the UK, India, and Mexico.
- Monitor and report on evidence of tool adoption, team-level feedback effectiveness, and improvements in employee experience.
- Contribute to insight reports, trend analyses, and research summaries to inform decision-making across HSBC.
To be successful you will:
- Background in employee experience, engagement research, or HR consultancy.
- Experience of employee feedback activation through effective communication, action planning programmes and engagement campaigns.
- Familiarity with survey tools such as Qualtrics, internal communications platforms and practices; able to quickly learn and optimise new technologies.
- Ability to connect feedback insights to organisational priorities and existing programmes, making recommendations that drive meaningful change.
- Experience working in international, cross-functional teams; comfortable operating as an individual contributor within a matrixed environment.
- A passion for exploring new methodologies and technologies, curiosity, and a desire to make a real difference in HSBC’s employee experience.
