Join us as a Solution Architect at Barclays, where you will spearhead the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable and secure infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of our digital solutions.  

To be successful as a Solution Architect, you should have experience with:

  • 6+ years of handson cloud engineering experience with at least 3 years architecting largescale systems on AWS.
  • Deep expertise across AWS services including EKS, Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB, Kinesis, MSK, S3, API Gateway, Step Functions, CloudWatch, IAM, and IaC frameworks (CloudFormation/Terraform).
  • Strong ability to architect highthroughput, lowlatency, distributed systems for missioncritical workloads.
  • Proven experience designing cloudnative, eventdriven, microservicesbased architectures.
  • Handson engineering leadership involving solution design, code reviews, architecture reviews, platform blueprinting, and design governance.
  • Expertise in containerization, Kubernetes, serverless patterns, and multiregion faulttolerant architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability in AWS cost management, scaling strategies, performance tuning, and optimizing for resilience and cost efficiency.
  • Ability to manage and drive multiple PoCs, architecture reviews, technical evaluations, and solution options in parallel.
  • Strong capability to present architectural options, tradeoffs, risk evaluations, and decisions to governance boards and senior leadership with clear, datadriven justification.
  • Deep understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and secure cloud operations.
  • Ability to work crossfunctionally with Product, Data Science, Security, Architecture, and Engineering teams to influence longterm platform strategy.

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organizations technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
