HSBC is seeking an Associate Director for Transactional FX to act as the subject matter expert and sales specialist for Transactional FX (TFX) across the APAC region. The role interfaces with Corporate & Investment Banking stakeholders, particularly Global Payments Services, to drive product awareness, onboard mandated TFX opportunities, and build an effective client pipeline. The position requires working closely with sales, support and legal teams, and leveraging knowledge of payments, technology solutions and the regional regulatory environment to achieve client acquisition and commercial delivery.

Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Associate Director, Transactional FX.
In this role you will need:
- Interface with and be the TFX subject matter expert to key product stakeholders within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), in particular with Global Payments Services (GPS) to drive product awareness and build a healthy client pipeline.
- Assist with on-boarding efforts for mandated TFX opportunities in the region
- Sales specialist for TFX related client interaction in the APAC region
To be successful you will need:
- Comfortable in a start-up environment, pragmatic, proactive, entrepreneurial
- FX experience within the APAC region, ideally across multiple industry segments
- Experience within a multi-stakeholder, multi-buying group sales environment
- Experience of successfully building and managing an effective client pipeline leading to client acquisition
- Knowledge of the Transactional FX market, applicable solutions and related industry contacts
- Knowledge of the payments landscape ideally within the APAC region
- Knowledge of the contractual legal processes / comfort with the interface between legal and commercial functions
- Experience working closely with sales and support teams
- Working knowledge of technology solutions, particularly the link between system and business value delivery
- Experience within regional arm of global business
- Some understanding of local and global regulatory environment
