We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Assistant Manager, EB Operations.
The role holder reports to Policy Administration Manager, EB Operations and is responsible for oversight of all operational aspects of Employee Benefit Insurance Business.
The role holder is accountable to ensure the Insurance business service targets exceed business partner and customer expectations, and is responsible for Insurance business service oversight, assessment, continuous improvement, and quality reviews. Also, the role holder will ensure Insurance business service expectations are defined, measured, and assessed, business impact of service problems is communicated, understood and actions progressed to prevent re-occurrence, as well as provide Insurance business insight to, and ensure appropriate communication of, Insurance business change activities or concerns.
In this role you will:
- Support Manager to deliver project and build-up Operations Team to support day-to-day operational activities (like scheme setup, policy issuance, administration, servicing etc.)
- Support Employee Benefits Insurance Daily Operational Activities policy management e.g. billing and collection, customer correspondence, policy maintenance, etc. to ensure SLAs could be met
- Support HSBC and HASE Group Staff scheme and work closely with HSBC / HASE HR for Group scheme matters
- Support Commercial schemes and work closely with Case Manager on policy matters communication (special case handling such as takeover/ multi biller group / tailor made scheme)
- Resolve day to day Policy related issue for all EB products
- Identify ineffective operation practice and drive initiatives for change
- Ensure proper procedure and policies to be utilized throughout the life cycle of policy admin process
- Conduct analysis on policy/ member data and produce regular reports for clients and management review
- Work with business and HSBC IT to investigate all production operational / system issues and identify the root cause for remedial actions / preventive measures
- Handle ad-hoc duties
To be successful you will need:
- Undergraduate or post-graduate degree level in Business Administration, Operations, Information Technology or a related field
- Knowledge on Employee benefits products (e.g. group life and group medical) and back office operations
- Proven and progressive experience preferably incorporting IT and business operations management principles (including service quality, business control and continuous improvement activities etc.)
- Strong analytical skills to understand to translate, simplify and proritize the requirement as well as root cause analysis for remedial actions / preventive measures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required, including the ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at the most senior level in the organisation
- Understand and interpret complex business and Hong Kong Insurance requirements (including regulatory requirements)
- Ability to work within an environment of different cultures
