We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Alternatives Investments Project Manager, Private Markets.

The Alternatives Investment Private Markets Project Manager will lead the end-to-end implementation of eFront within HSBC Asset Managements Alternatives and Private Markets business. This role is pivotal in driving business transformation, ensuring the successful integration of technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency, data management, and client servicing across private markets.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery for the full project lifecycle for the eFront implementation across Private Markets.
  • Ensure the eFront platform supports strategic transformation goals, including operating model enhancement, process standardisation, data integrity, and scalability across private markets and alternative investments.
  • Engage senior stakeholders across Front Office, Operations, Risk, Finance, Technology and third-party vendors.
  • Manage relationships with Technology, Data, eFront vendor teams and implementation partners, ensuring deliverables meet agreed scope, timelines and quality standards.
  • Partner with Business Operations teams to translate operating model requirements into functional specifications, ensuring optimal system configuration and minimal customisation.
  • Proactively identify, assess and mitigate project risks, manage interdependencies across workstreams and escalate critical issues appropriately.
  • Support change and communication plans to drive business readiness, user adaptation and training across impacted teams.
  • Manage project financials, resource planning and capacity across cross-functional teams to delivery within approved budgets.
  • Lead hypercare support, benefits realisation tracking and transition to BAU ownership as well as delivering end-to-end operating model in coordination with Business, IT, and BT.

To be successful you will have:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Finance, Business, Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within asset management, with a focus on alternatives/private markets.
  • Strong understanding of private equity, real assets, and other alternative investment products and workflows.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing eFront or similar alternatives investment platforms.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) preferred.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks in asset management.
