Job Duties: Associate, Settlements with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Perform duties in derivative operations, with a specialized focus on Foreign Exchange Products (FX) such as swaps, forwards, cash settled forwards, options, exotic trades and structured trades. Monitor trade settlement and confirmation procedures, risk management, and control processes. Monitor trade bookings, confirm settlement and trade netting agreement, identify and escalate discrepancies, and provide client services. Generate management reporting with investigation and commentary for fails to pay, fails to receive, and balance breaks. Identify process flaws and propose solution to resolve and improve efficiency. Support the team manager on reducing cost, enabling scale, and supporting the business. Design and deliver solutions that enhance automation, eliminate exceptions and move to more data-driven decision-making. Ensure all trade economics and discrepancies are appropriately investigated and resolved, while managing client expectations and potential fail exposure. Identify process and controls improvements by leveraging constantly evolving tools that can be used to build scalability without introducing new risks. Monitor KPIs/KRIs and ensure timely execution of teams daily tasks and escalate aged/high value/high risk client exceptions to respective business owners and senior management.

Job Requirements: Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, or related quantitative field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience with: foreign exchange, booking validation, and conflict settlement structure; antifraud, pre-settlement and post-settlement analysis; balance breaks and investigations; using FX industry platforms including FXALL, FINASTRA, GTSS, or Bloomberg; client facing interaction and issue management supporting sales and trading desks; Foreign Exchange (FX) Derivatives including Spot, Forwards, NDFs and Options; monitoring time-sensitive intraday requests and escalations; and Microsoft Office & other data tools for data analysis for Client Strategies & Optimization.
