Who We Look For
As a developer in the Regulatory Reporting Technology team, you will be an integral part of the AMD Engineering Ecosystem, focusing on critical data and compliance functions. You will design and implement complex, scalable systems for regulatory data ingestion, transformation, and reporting. This includes developing and optimizing ETL processes, building Spark Refiners for data quality and aggregation, and managing enterprise-grade data warehouses. You will also participate in various projects and initiatives within Revenue Operations technology, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of regulatory data.
Skills and Experience We Are Looking For
- Masters or bachelors degree in computer science or related Engineering Field
- 3+ years of Java development and other programming languages with experience in Object Oriented Analysis, Design and testing best practices
- Experience in building scalable and distributed platforms (AWS cloud technologies is a plus).
- Knowledge in one or more SQL dialects.
- Demonstrated experience with ETL processing, data warehousing concepts, and data pipeline development.
- Proficiency with Apache Spark for data refining, transformation, and large-scale data processing.
- Self-motivated with analytical mindset who can multi-task to solve interesting and difficult technical problems under time pressure and resource constraints
- Experience with all stages of the development lifecycle: inception, analysis, design, review, testing, and deployment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- A background in data intensive applications and Batch Process, especially within regulatory data aggregation or financial reporting.
- Experience in AWS Cloud technologies, particularly services like S3, Redshift, Glue, or EMR.
- Comfortable working in highly dynamic and rapid development environment (Agile development experience)
- Working knowledge/experience in the financial or banking industry, with an understanding of regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., Dodd-Frank, Basel, MiFID II) and data governance principles.
- Technologies & Tools: Java, Web/RESTful service development: HTML 5, JavaScript/ReactJS, JSON, Kubernetes, SQL, Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem, data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Teradata), testing and build tools.
