XIG (External Investment Group) provides investors with investment and advisory solutions across leading hedge fund managers, private equity managers, private credit managers, real asset managers, and traditional long-only managers.

XIG manages globally diversified programs, targeted sector-specific strategies, customized portfolios, and a range of advisory services. Our investors access opportunities through new fund commitments, fund-of-funds investments, strategic partnerships, secondary-market investments, co-investments, and GP stake investments.

With over 400 professionals across 13 offices around the world, XIG provides manager diligence, portfolio construction, risk management, and liquidity solutions to investors, drawing on Goldman Sachs market insights and risk management expertise. We extend these capabilities to the world's leading sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, and family offices, for which we invest or advise on over $500 billion.

XIG ACF team is responsible for managing client interactions across the XIG investment businesses. These responsibilities include identifying and researching prospective investors, analyzing the role of alternative and traditional investments in a client's portfolio, and working with clients and the investment teams to develop unique solutions. The team works closely with other areas of XIG and the broader firm, including Client Service teams, Fund Accounting/Controllers, Operations, Technology, Legal, and Compliance.

 

Principal Responsibilities

- Responsible for business and new product development, portfolio solutions, and client service

- Lead internal and external contact for all matters related to XIG private equity solutions

- Communicate to external prospective and existing clients on private equity investment performance, portfolio exposures, concentrations, and customized portfolio developments

- Participate in construction of customized multi-manager private equity solutions, coordinating between external clients and the internal XIG Portfolio Construction team

- Manage communication and private equity platform updates with internal sales teams

- Oversee ongoing client deliverables as well as new business development activities

- Actively assist in XIG-wide initiatives and projects

 

Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in manager selection, portfolio construction, or risk management on private equity is preferred

- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work with sophisticated investors

- Strong interest in capital markets, asset management, and understanding of traditional and alternative asset classes

- Strong organizational skills to manage a high volume of work within tight timelines

- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; adaptable to internal systems

- Team player with a proactive, self-motivated mindset and willingness to take on responsibility

- Japanese and English language proficiency
