HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD

Reporting to the Supervisor Prevention, you will play a key role in supporting employees, managers and contractors in the application of good health and safety practices. You will contribute to strengthening the culture of prevention through listening, collaboration and the implementation of concrete and sustainable solutions. Your main duties will be:

  • Accompany and support the teams in the application of prevention procedures, programs and policies.
  • Coach and advise supervisors and managers in their daily health and safety responsibilities in order to equip them to properly integrate requirements into the planning and execution of their activities.
  • Participate in the updating and creation of health and safety procedures, programs and processes and develop action plans for their implementation in the field in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development and updating of prevention strategies and programs.
  • Conduct planned inspections in areas under your responsibility.
  • Collaborate in investigations and analyze events to identify causes and recommend sustainable corrective actions.
  • Analyze health and safety needs, submit recommendations and follow up on action plans.
  • Raise awareness among staff and contractors through your interventions and field leadership.
  • Actively contribute to maintaining a safe workplace and a strong culture of prevention at all levels of the organization

 

PROFILE REQUIRED

  • Hold a certificate in occupational health and safety management or a college diploma in Environment, Occupational Health and Safety. Any other relevant academic training will also be considered.
  • Master the laws and regulations governing occupational health and safety.
  • Demonstrate leadership, ability to influence, organizational skills and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
  • Have completed modular training (FMTM) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 and hold a general explosives permit (assets).
