Every breakthrough is built on strong foundations. As a Tax manager you’ll work across disciplines to drive the strategy, culture and structure that enable our success.

Take the next step in your career.

The role

We’re seeking a Tax Manager to take on a broad and varied role, combining oversight of outsourced tax filings and reporting with significant involvement in transfer pricing. You’ll also provide tax advisory support across a range of business projects and initiatives.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with teams across the business, helping to understand how commercial activities impact tax reporting and risk management. You’ll stay on top of evolving global tax developments and communicate their potential implications for the wider organisation.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing outsourced compliance, including corporate and partnership tax filings

  • Overseeing all transfer pricing activities, including managing outsourced providers, reviewing pricing for new services and maintaining accurate documentation

  • Working closely with the business to ensure transfer pricing compliance and alignment with regulatory requirements

  • Managing R&D claims, including working with outsourced providers and ensuring proper support and engagement across the business

  • Providing tax advisory support on business projects, coordinating with external advisors as needed

  • Monitoring and improving tax processes and controls to manage risk effectively

  • Supporting the communication of tax matters to senior stakeholders

  • Using data, modelling and, where practical, automation to support tax analysis and documentation

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • ACA, CTA or equivalent qualification

  • Experience with UK corporate tax and/or international tax matters, ideally in tax advisory with a solid understanding of how this translates into tax reporting

  • Comfortable working with data and financial models

  • Willingness to build strong working relationships with teams and advisors, and to communicate tax matters in a clear, practical way

  • Experience with partnership taxation, transfer pricing of services and/or tax issues arising from cross-border activity and transactions would be beneficial

Why you should apply?

  • Highly competitive compensation plus annual discretionary bonus

  • Lunch provided (via Just Eat for Business) and dedicated barista bar

  • 30 days’ annual leave

  • 9% company pension contributions

  • Informal dress code and excellent work/life balance

  • Comprehensive healthcare and life assurance

  • Cycle-to-work scheme

  • Monthly company events

G-Research is committed to cultivating and preserving an inclusive work environment. We are an ideas-driven business and we place great value on diversity of experience and opinions.

We want to ensure that applicants receive a recruitment experience that enables them to perform at their best. If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation please let us know in the relevant section
